Hi, I’m Maddie!

Welcome to my story!

After graduating from the University of Michigan, I moved to Boston to conduct pediatric oncology research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. This fall, I’ll be moving to California to start a PhD in genetics.

Photography has a special place in my heart, as it has allowed me to meet so many amazing people and have incredible experiences.

I started photography focusing on nature and portraits in natural settings. Once I started my undergrad at the University of Michigan, I knew immediately that I wanted to join the Michigan Daily. Being a part of this newspaper was a life-changing experience; I started as a staff photographer and grew to become assistant editor, senior editor, and then in 2021 the managing photo editor. Through my time at Michigan, I was lucky enough to photograph sports, political events and document student life. Meanwhile, I was still able to build on my love for portraiture through wedding photography and graduation photos.
